Pertamina Supplies Garuda Fuel in Overseas Stations

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned oil corporation Pertamina will be providing jet fuel for Garuda Indonesia's fleet overseas. Pertamina will have the fuel ready for Garuda planes in 14 fueling stations abroad.
Pertamina's corporate marketing director Basuki Trikora Putra said that the company acts as a fuel distributor from overseas sellers, selling at better prices.
"Our role is as a trader, so we don't need to build fuel facilities at international airports," he said in Jakarta yesterday.

In return, Garuda will obtain an extension of the payment period for jet fuel purchases.
Pertamina has extended the deadline for Garuda Indonesia and Sriwijaya Group debt payments for the purchase of jet fuel. This extension is valid for 18 months for an amount of payment of Rp2 trillion.
"The maturity was in December 2018, but we will pay in installments until 2019," Garuda Indonesia CEO I Gusti Ngurah Ashkara Danadiputra said.
